Jordan's Party of the Free (ALAHRAR) refused to attend a meeting between the government and political parties yesterday and rejected the remarks made by Prime Minister Marouf Bakit in an interview with Jordan Television on June 16, 2006 saying that: Jordanian people can't trust this government specially when talking about Political parties law ! Firstly, it is real fun having Ministry of political development! And more funny to have political parties law! Among hell of a lot of intelligence informants, political detectives and political police! Secondly, it is more and more funny to have non democratic, not political party member, non elected prime minister talking about democracy! Non elected officials have no right to impose their opinions and personal interests on the people and make it valid law! If he is not joking he can't speak in such a way! If the king wanted to get out of the political crisis in Jordan, he can ask Jordan's Party of the Free to form temporal government to conduct clean elections and get Jordan in the right direction: this is the first step, and then we can talk on democracy and political parties! |
